Pacific Highlands Ranch

2007 Gold Nugget Award Recipient

Latitude 33 prepared the Pacific Highlands Ranch Subarea Plan for the 2,700-acre master planned community.  The plan included approximately 5,000 residential units, a 300,000 square-foot mixed use core community center, 700,000 s.f. employment center, 1,200 acres of natural open space (Multi-habitat planning area), 15 miles of trails, two (2) neighborhood parks, one (1) community park, two (2) high schools (1 public and 1 private), one (1) junior high school, and three (3) elementary schools.  The community has won 3 PCBC awards for architecture and master planning and includes a 20% requirement of affordable housing.  The Subarea Plan was approved by the City of San Diego voters in 1998.  Since that time, Latitude 33 has provided land planning, entitlement, and engineering services for most of the community.
